I was on tour with CSI, an Italian punk band that made an important cultural impact in the 80's under the name of CCCP (after the Soviet collapse they had to change their name too). When the bass player had to leave to Italy right before a concert, Lindo, the band leader asked me if I would play the bass for them that night. As I stood on that stage I looked at the audience and thought about how the lyrics matched with their recent
history: socialism, ideologies, paranoia, fear, war, death, despair, divisions.

Federico (my intern) was scanning my old pictures from a trip I did with the band CCCP in Mongolia and he asked who those guys were, him being too young to know them. I played one of their albums 'Live in Punkow' for him. This all happened while I was editing the photos of my last trip to Georgia and again that cynical match came btw those faces in my pictures and the lyrics... '... I'm not aware of your good intentions'... 'cure me'...
'they will come in counter-attack with helmets and new weapons'...
'shoot, Jurij, shoot...
